Thank you for the professional and cordial implementation of our wedding. We and our guests felt very comfortable! + We were very well looked after from the first meeting to the celebration. + The service at the wedding was very courteous and all our wishes were met. + The food was as discussed, intolerances were taken into account and everyone tasted very good. Anyone who celebrates has to sleep sometimes ... + The rooms are modern, well-kept and clean. + The breakfast is plentiful. We will keep our party in good memory and look forward to being a guest in your house again soon.

The hotel is really well located and our rooms were fantastic. However, there is one point deduction for dinner. We booked 3 nights and ate in the restaurant in the evening. The food was very good but we got the same greeting from the kitchen on three evenings and we had to ask for vegetarian dishes after the first evening.

Very nice, well-kept room, well thought out and well equipped. In the great summer weather, the large terrace with the very well-equipped lounge furniture was just right. Since the hotel is on a fairly busy street, I recommend the rooms on the side facing away from the street. Breakfast was high quality. The atmosphere there was also very nice. The only downer: I can't remember being treated so badly at check-in. Since nobody was at the reception, we rang the bell. A barked "I'll be right there" was the immediate answer. When the lady was there, there was no "hello" or even a "warm welcome". Just "What's your name?" And "Breakfast is from ... to ...". We were downright indignant. And felt so unwelcome. And that's why I can't give the hotel full marks.

Super nice room and very friendly staff. The boss welcomed us very friendly at the reception and showed us the room. Unfortunately we had forgotten to reserve a seat in the restaurant. The boss then told us that he would call us when something was available. No sooner said than done and we could enjoy a really delicious meal outside in front of the hotel. Of course with greetings from the kitchen. Not only did the staff keep asking whether everything was okay, the boss also came over once and wished us bon appétit. Very nice atmosphere that we will enjoy again the next time we visit the Black Forest.

I book the Hotel Engel once or twice a year and it's always nice to spend a short vacation there. In the meantime, my husband and I have already been able to book several different rooms. Each room has a super nice modern decor. Breakfast, dinner and the friendliness of the whole team including the owner inspire us again and again.

Excellent food, and service is very welcoming. Good wine (wide choice) An amuse of unprecedented taste.

Nice that the angel has opened again. We have been waiting eagerly for it. The dishes are delicious and prepared with love. I highly recommend a stop.

Fantastic dining in the most beautiful setting. Make sure you have time to visit local vineyard.

Great accommodation in Sasbachwalden! The hotel got recently remodeled, so that rooms and furniture are all new, modern and of high quality. In addition, the breakfast was delicious.

Lovely room, great food.

The Chef menu was good, waitresses were nice Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a long time because there was a Wedding in the other room of the restaurant.

What a Christmas menu with 4 courses plus some additional gratitudes. Food and service are excellent. Prices are on the higher side but definitely worth it. You will find typical dishes of the region in a perfected presentation. The interior of the restaurant is decorated somewhere in between a traditional and a modern restaurant of this region. They managed the gap and pushed the traditional ways to today's world without losing the personal and local touch.

(Restaurant only!) Food quality dropped significantly compared to previous visits. Meats slightly charred, all served rather well done. Down to earth service.
